HP Windows XP Euro Recovery CDsHP Windows XP Euro Restore CDs

HP usually ship their European computers with one or more hard drive data Recovery CDs (also known as hard drive Recovery CDs, hard drive Restore CDs or hard drive data Restore CDs). The HP hard drive data Recovery CDs are specifically designed for your HP computer, usually contain an image of what was on the computers hard drive when it was first bought, & they allow you to return the machine to its original state (as new). This is particularly useful if the machine has been attacked by a virus, if the original hard drive has developed a fault, or if you simply wish to replace or upgrade the hard drive, & need to re-install your original software.

Many HP European computers do not ship with hard drive Recovery CDs, & in many cases the HP hard drive Recovery CDs are unavailable. Many other HP Computers ship with a special Recovery partition on the hard drive, which can be used to Restore the HP hard drive to its factory settings (complete with original programs). Our HP Recovery CDs perform the same functions as the original HP Recovery CDs and will even create a special Recovery partition (if the HP computer originally shipped with a Recovery partition).

The HP Windows XP Recovery CDs are also sometimes referred to as Windows XP installation CDs because they completely erase the contents of your hard drive & then re-install your operating system (Windows XP). However, they differ from normal Windows XP installation disks in that they usually Restore all programs which were originally installed on the hard drive when the computer was first purchased (any additional programs or files which were not originally installed will be overwritten).

Genner Communications developed the Windows Recovery CD market. We worked with the major manufacturers and supplied Windows Recovery CDs for Acer Aspire PCs and Acer Ferrari laptops - Notebooks, when Acer no longer supported the system. Our business was - is based upon recommendations from the manufacturers, retailers and Microsoft personnel. We were - are world leaders in this field and have an excellent worldwide reputation for quality, integrity and service, we are VAT registered and are members of the Chamber of Commerce.

Following a face to face meeting with Microsoft in January 2009 (in Birmingham UK), we are no longer allowed to supply Windows Recovery CDs. However, we continue to work with Microsoft and (as of February 2010) are developing a range of Re-image CDs - DVDs. These CDs and DVDs are machine specific, will only be available for certain PCs or laptops and work by repairing or recreating an image of the computers original Windows Recovery partition (this product does not include a Windows CD).

We have also agreed to help and assist Microsoft Customers who need to Reinstall Windows by supplying the correct Windows Drivers, Utilities etc for most computer systems. We will also continue to provide full technical support throughout Ireland and Europe.

Our Europe and Ireland - Eire Drivers CDs typically include Chipset Drivers, Graphics Drivers - Video Drivers, Network Drivers, Wireless Drivers, Audio Drivers - Sound Drivers, Instructions, Utilities, Manuals (where available), technical support from qualified - experienced engineers and free delivery either via mail, or via our high speed secure download servers (with free access to future updates).

Additionally; European and Irish customers are provided with instructions (English language only) on how to Install Windows, Reinstall Windows XP or Repair a current Windows XP installation and we can provide free impartial expert advice on which versions of Windows should be used.

This means that Microsoft customers can now successfully upgrade from one version of Windows to another version of Windows (eg; upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows XP, upgrade Windows XP to Windows Vista or upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows XP Home Edition, XP Professional or XP Media Center).

Customers can install a different language version of Windows and use our CDs to install the correct drivers etc.

Customers can also upgrade Windows XP or upgrade Windows Vista and Reinstall Windows XP or Reinstall Windows Vista and use our CDs and services to make sure that the sound, video, wireless, network and internet work correctly.

If your PC has been attacked by a virus, or worse still; is infected with a virus which you cannot remove, the best course of action is often to re-install Windows XP from your HP Recovery CDs & then install quality anti virus & anti spyware programs .

If your HP computer has a faulty hard disk drive (eg; if the hard drive cannot be "seen" by the computer, if it has bad sectors, bad blocks or is making a clicking or loud whirling noise), the best course of action is usually to completely replace the hard drive & Restore the correct HP version of Windows XP & the original software from your hard drive data Recovery CD. This process will usually involve replacing the hard drive & then placing the HP Recovery CDs in the CD ROM or DVD ROM drive & re-booting the system. The computer should then boot from the HP Recovery CDs & this will then return the computer to its original state (as new).
